Chapter 8 summary

What do we learn about resilience in To Kill A Mockingbird?

Miss Maudies house ignites in flames because of the flue in her kitchen, which she kept on overnight. I think her resiliance is easier because she shows she has an optimistic personality, she also says that she always wanted a smaller house. ” Always wanted a smaller house, Jem Finch. Gives me more yard… for my azaleas. ”  She shows strength because she is not complaining over the fact that she is homless, like most people would, in addition I think she cares more for her plants then herself.
