ANTHROPOMORPHIC – giving human characteristics to a God, animal, or object.
SIMILE – a figure of speech in which two things are compared to each other.
METAPHOR – use of a word/phrase in special meaning that provides an image
ASSONANCE – similar vowel sounds in words that do not rhyme
SIBILANCE – Words that literate in ‘s’ , ‘sh’, or ‘ch’ sounds.
ALLEGORY – a story, poem, or play where the characters plus the events are made to represent a deeper meaning.

Hello Moniem,
I think your metaphor using the moon is very effective. Your example of sibilance works too because both words start with different letters but have the same elongated S sound. People often forget that the sounds must be the same, but the words can start with different letters.
Target: Begin to explore why a writer might use these techniques – how might they affect the reader? Why?
